Alaska Silver Salmon
The consensus amongst Kenai Peninsula locals is that the fall is the very best time of year. The competitive King Salmon fishery has ended, the crowds have dispersed, and the fishing becomes easy. For the months of August, September, and October, Silver Salmon (aka: Coho) swarm the rivers of the Kenai Peninsula. Silver Salmon are an especially attractive species to fish for because they are great table fare, are aggressive feeders when in the river, can be caught using a variety of methods, and are as acrobatic as any fish you will ever see on the end of a line!
Silver Salmon fishing on the Kenai Peninsula is a fishery that anglers of all types and ages can enjoy.
